Lemonade stands are a staple of summer. One triad boy is taking his to the next level.
William Martin sets up his lemonade stand on weekends. He's raising money to help feed the hungry. He even gives money to donate school supplies to other students.
Martin's lemonade stand got national attention. It was voted one of the top ten "sweetest" lemonade stands in the country by "Nextdoor".
We've spoken to Martin before, and on Thursday he joined the WFMY team in the WFMY Weather Garden.
He made some lemonade and told us he's raised $1,500 since we last spoke to him. Just one month!
Martin's goal is to raise $2,000 by summer's end. You can contribute by stopping by the lemonade stand in Greensboro, or by making a donation on his Red Basket Page.
He will be selling lemonade at 4012 Battleground Avenue from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 14.
The fundraiser ends on August 18.
